GreenZone work closely with another Considerate supplier – they use the Delphis Eco range of eco-friendly cleaning products. Delphis Eco were the first British company to have their products independently accredited by the EU Ecolabel, and have the broadest range for the catering, hospitality and commercial cleaning sectors.
GreenZone has celebrated a whole host of great sustainability achievements over the past couple of years; an example being their initial success in winning an internationally recognised Green Apple Award, and then going on to be recognised as Green World Ambassadors!
The company were an early adopter of the Living Wage in 2012, becoming a recognised Living Wage service provider in 2013, highlighting their commitment to their employees by paying all their own staff the Living Wage. They are also committed to always offering a Living Wage bid alongside every market rate submittal, thereby encouraging their clients to also commit to the Living Wage where possible. In recognition of their efforts they were shortlisted for the Living Wage Champions Best Service Provider award in 2018.
GreenZone hold the Corporate Ethical Mark from CIPS, which recognises their ethical values in the way they source and manage suppliers.
Well in advance of the Ultra Low Emission Zone coming in to effect in London at the beginning of April this year, GreenZone took its first delivery of fully electric vehicles last summer, and went on to replace all vehicles which did not comply with the new standards. With fleet emissions making up nearly 90% of GreenZone’s carbon footprint to the year ending December 2018, they are bound to see further significant reductions in the coming years!
The company has been reporting its carbon footprint with The Planet Mark™ for the last seven years. As a disrupter in their sector, being early adopters of The Planet Mark has enabled them to independently demonstrate the values they live every day; not just talking the talk but walking the walk. In line with the year on year reductions required to maintain the certification, in March of this year the company were able to celebrate having reduced their carbon footprint per employee by 5.7%. Their fantastic achievements were further recognised through winning ‘Best Company’ at The Planet Mark™’s 5th anniversary awards in October!
GreenZone work closely with a number of key charities with whom they share an ethos; they have now planted in excess of 636 trees in their work with Trees for Cities, and have protected over 65 acres of endangered South American rainforest, in order to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and to provide employment for local people, through their partnership with Cool Earth.
